MAY 2011: The BMC Painting & Decorating website has been upgraded and is now running on a Content Management System allowing the client to update the content of their website:

A Content Management System (CMS) is now an essential part of any website build, allowing website owners to take control of their own content.  We have now upgraded bmcpainting.co.uk to include a CMS.

We migrated the existing design into a new system, our chosen CMS for this project is Joomla due to it's flexibility and ease of use with the front-end editor.  BMC Painting & Decorating can now take advantage of all of these new features:

• Ability to update their own content and create new content/pages without requesting these changes.
• Front End Editor (we installed the JCK editor to provide a great user friendly interface)
• Customise existing forms and easily create new forms
• Access to a wealth of extensions such as Galleries, Search, SEO Tools (eg. Google Sitemap) and many more.
• Back-end administration console for more advanced changes
